The South Akron Orioles Nest 167 was chartered on March 13, 1933.
The Nest has been at it's current location in northeast (Akron) Ohio since 1984. Akron is approximately 30 miles south of the North Coast (Cleveland, Ohio) and is the home of the All American Soap Box Derby,
the National Inventor's Hall Of Fame, Akron Aeros (the AA farm team of the Cleveland Indians) and the Akron Racers Women's Fastpitch Professional Softball team.
The Nest has a membership enrollment of approximately 550 men.
The Ladies Auxiliary, which was charted April 1, 1940, has approximately 450 members.
Everyone works together on projects to benefit the members, and their families, as well as various community projects.
Nest 167 has had the distinct pleasure of sponsoring seven Supreme Presidents including the first female Supreme President, Carol Jenkins who served from 2004 to 2006.
Our current Supreme President Carolyn Mccardle is also from S. Akron Auxiliary #167.
If you are ever in Northeast Ohio stop in and say hello!
